Seven24 Church is a Bible-believing, Christ-centered, Spirit-filled church. We believe the Word of God is our final authority and that the person, presence, power, gifts, and ministry of the Holy Spirit are active in the Church today.
seven24 Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God through the Holy Spirit, inerrant in the original writings, the Word of God, and the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
-
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, bodily crucifixion, death, burial, and bodily resurrection. He ascended into heaven and is the Head of the Church, Lord of every believer, our High Priest, Savior, Intercessor, and Advocate at the right hand of the Father.
-
We believe humanity was created in the image of God, but through sin became subject to physical and spiritual death and separation from God. All people need the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
-
We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as our substitutionary sacrifice. All who repent and place their faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood are justified, regenerated, born again, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, baptized into the Body of Christ, and become children of God. Salvation and eternal life are received by grace through faith in Christ.
-
We believe in water baptism by immersion. All who receive Jesus Christ as Savior should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, as an outward confession of their faith in Christ.
-
We believe holiness is God's standard for His people and that sanctification is an ongoing work of grace through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to the new birth, empowering believers for witness, worship, prayer, holy living, and supernatural ministry. We believe believers should desire and exercise the gifts of the Spirit as the Holy Spirit wills and gives utterance, for the edification of the believer and the Body of Christ.
-
We believe the supernatural gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit described in the New Testament continue in the Church today, including prophecy, tongues and interpretation, gifts of healing, miracles, faith, words of wisdom and knowledge, and discerning of spirits. Jesus declared in Mark 16:17-18 that signs would follow those who believe: in His name they would drive out demons, speak with new tongues, and lay hands on the sick, and the sick would recover. We therefore welcome the biblical operation of the gifts of the Spirit while submitting all ministry to Scripture, love, discernment, accountability, and godly order (1 Corinthians 12-14).
-
We believe divine healing is provided through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and that the Church should pray in faith for the sick. Following the example of Jesus and the early Church, we believe in anointing with oil, the prayer of faith, and laying hands on the sick, trusting God for healing and giving Him all the glory (Mark 16:17-18; James 5:14-16).
-
We believe in the regular observance of the Lord's Supper (Communion) by those who have been born again, remembering the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and proclaiming His death until He comes.
-
We believe in the personal, premillennial Second Coming of Jesus Christ: first, to resurrect the dead in Christ and catch away the living saints to meet Him in the air; and ultimately to establish His earthly kingdom and reign as King.
-
We believe in eternal life in the Kingdom of God for those who are saved, including the resurrection and glorification of the redeemed, and in eternal punishment for those who reject God's salvation in Jesus Christ.
-
We desire to be a church of both the Word and the Spirit - firmly grounded in Scripture and fully open to the present-day work of the Holy Spirit. We seek His presence, welcome His gifts, expect His supernatural power, pursue His holiness, honor His order, and above all walk in the love of Jesus Christ.
